‘A’ohe hana nui ke alu ‘ia

“No task is too big when done together by all”

If you have ever found yourself savoring the beauty and brilliance of a Kona sunset with a hint of green flash, then you perhaps you may have caught a glimpse of a slender canoe with six breaths meticulously working in perfect unison, gliding across your view.

What you can’t see from the distance, is the strength, control, and finesse in every stroke, no doubt, guided by the temperament of mother nature and the spirit of the island’s ancestors.

Outrigger canoe paddling is considered a cultural treasure and integral part of Hawaiian history, that provides the opportunity to bring people together and pass on local traditions. Today, canoe paddling is preserved through numerous clubs consisting of more than 2,500 competitive paddlers and over thousands of recreational paddlers throughout the state of Hawaii.

Six Seats, One team
