Membership
Why should I choose The Club?
With two distinct fitness experiences, premium equipment, recovery-focused amenities, world-class group fitness programming, and expert personal training, The Club is built to support every stage of your fitness journey. More than just a gym, The Club creates an environment that keeps members motivated, accountable, and connected through community, coaching, and lifestyle-driven wellness. From Ironman competitors and athletes to first-time gym members looking to build confidence, we are committed to helping every member train stronger, recover better, and live healthier for the long term.
What is included with membership?
Membership includes access to premium fitness equipment, cardio and strength areas, functional training spaces, locker rooms, showers, recovery amenities, and a wide variety of live and virtual group fitness classes. Certain memberships also include access to both Club Kona and Club Kealakekua locations.
Should I choose a Punch Card or a Membership?
Punch Cards are a great option for occasional gym users, or those with flexible schedules. Monthly and Annual Memberships are the best value for members who plan to use the club regularly and want unlimited access to equipment, amenities, and classes. If you plan to work out more than a few times each month, a membership is typically the most cost-effective option.
Can I work out at a Club I do not currently have access to?
Members with All Access Memberships may use both Club Kona and Club Kealakekua locations. If you do not currently have access to another location, you may also purchase a Punch Pass for that club without upgrading your membership.
How do I freeze or unfreeze my membership?
All membership freezes, unfreezes, and cancellations must be submitted in writing by emailing memberservices@theclubkona.com or can be completed in the GymMaster app.
Monthly memberships may be placed on hold for a $10 monthly hold fee. Annual memberships include complimentary membership holds.
How many times can I freeze my membership?
Membership holds are available for qualifying situations and are subject to membership terms and policies. Holds may be placed for up to six months at a time and cannot exceed twelve months total.
How do I update my credit card or billing information?
Billing information can be securely updated through the GymMaster Member Portal App or by contacting Member Services directly.
I want to sign up my family. Is there a discount?
Yes. Members who purchase an Annual Membership may receive discounted rates for additional family members or connected memberships, with savings available for up to five people connected to the primary account.
Do you offer gym memberships for teens?
Yes. The Club offers affordable teen memberships for members ages 13–17 at both Club Kona and Club Kealakekua. Teen memberships include full access to all equipment, amenities, and group fitness classes with no contracts or cancellation fees—a flexible, low-commitment way to help your teen build healthy habits.
Are there membership conditions for teens ages 14 and under?
Yes. Members ages 14 and under require a completed Minor Membership Safety & Supervision Agreement on file, and a parent or legal guardian must remain inside the facility whenever they are present. Minors must be actively supervised at all times unless they have completed our Training Clearance Session, which covers safe equipment use, gym etiquette, and independent exercise requirements. Completing the clearance session does not permit a parent or guardian to leave—parental presence is always required. This policy applies at both Club Kona and Club Kealakekua. View full Minor Membership Policy.
Do you offer corporate memberships?
Yes. The Club offers corporate membership options for businesses and organizations. For more information, please email accounting@theclubkona.com.
Where can I find information about Club policies and member expectations?
The Club is committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all members. Our Member Policies page covers everything you need to know before joining or visiting, including our Conditions of Entry, gym etiquette, equipment guidelines, and our Minor Membership Safety & Supervision Policy.
We encourage all prospective and current members to review our policies so everyone can enjoy the best possible experience at The Club. View Member Policies.
App & Entry
How do I download the app?
Members can download the GymMaster Member Portal App through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The app allows members to manage memberships, update billing information, reserve classes, request holds, and access the club using Bluetooth entry.
How does check-in and door entry work?
The Club uses Bluetooth mobile entry through the GymMaster App for convenient check-in and facility access. Members simply enable Bluetooth on their phone and use the app to enter the club. Key fobs are also available for purchase if preferred.
Classes
What types of group fitness classes do you offer?
The Club offers a variety of live, virtual, and on-demand classes including strength training, cycling, yoga, Pilates, barre, HIIT, Aqua Aerobics, mobility training, and Les Mills programs such as BODYPUMP™, RPM™, SPRINT™, and BODYBALANCE™.
Do I need to pre-register for classes?
Yes. Pre-registration is required for most classes because space is limited and class sizes vary by location and format. Members can reserve classes directly through the GymMaster Member App.
Do I need to bring any equipment to class?
Most equipment is provided by The Club. For yoga, Pilates, or mobility classes, members are welcome to bring their own mats or accessories if preferred, but equipment is typically available onsite.
Can I join a group fitness class if I’m not a member?
Yes. Non-members may purchase a class drop-in pass, subject to availability. Group fitness classes are included with all memberships and are one of the most popular benefits of being a member at The Club.
Personal Training
Do you offer personal training?
Yes. The Club offers personal training for all fitness levels. Every new member also receives a complimentary Starting Point Assessment designed to help pair them with the trainer best suited for their goals, personality, experience level, and support needs.
Do you offer duet or partner training?
Yes. We offer duet personal training for two people who would like to train together. Duet training can be a more affordable option while still providing personalized coaching, accountability, and support.
Do you offer personal training for teens?
Yes. We offer one-on-one youth personal training and small-group youth training for teens looking for more structured guidance, sport-specific development, or athletic performance coaching. Our trainers work with young athletes of all levels, from first-time gym goers to competitive athletes preparing for their next season.
